Backing the community

Partner with itSMF NZ

Our sponsors and partners help us keep events low-cost, support mentoring, and connect practitioners across the country. Supporting us is supporting the profession.

Our supporters

The organisations behind us.

Strategenz
In-kind partner

Strategenz applies service management discipline to the whole organisation, not just the IT department - the same discipline this audience knows, turned on the organisation itself: people serving other people, seen as the service they deliver. The belief underneath it is simple. Most organisations don’t have a technology problem or a people problem; they have a visibility problem. They manage the org chart, and the service becomes whatever falls out of it. Strategenz exists to help leaders see the service their organisation actually delivers, in language the people doing the work recognise - and to leave that clarity with them rather than keep hold of it.

The vendor-neutral promise

Support earns our thanks, not a say in what we do.

We're vendor-neutral by constitution, and we'd rather be plain about what that means in practice. Your support keeps the community running and we'll gladly say so. What it doesn't come with:

  • A say in what we publish, or in which talks make the programme
  • Our members' contact details, which we don't pass on to anyone
  • Exclusivity, in your patch or anywhere else
  • An endorsement of your product or service

Speakers are picked by the committee on the strength of the talk. We're always glad to introduce a supporter at an event and say what they've done for us, which is a different thing, and an honest one. None of this is us being standoffish - it's what makes our thanks worth having.

Why partner with us

Reach an engaged, hard-to-find audience - and back a good cause.

A hard-to-reach audience

Service Management practitioners and the people who lead, hire, and buy tools for them.

We say thank you properly

Everyone who backs us is named here, and at whatever they helped with, in the same way.

Connection, not just exposure

Hosting an event, lending a venue, or offering members something useful puts you in the room with practitioners.

Vendor-neutral credibility

Backing an independent community carries more weight than a self-promotional channel.

How support works

There's more than one way to back the chapter.

We don't have packages or a price list, and no one kind of support counts for more than another. Tell us what you'd like to do, we'll work out something that suits us both, and we'll write it down so everyone's clear.

Sponsors
Money towards the chapter's year, or towards a particular event. We say thank you here, and at whatever it helps pay for.
In-kind partners
Something you'd usually be selling us - a venue, hosting, tools, your time. We say thank you the same way we would for money, because it counts the same.
Member benefit partners
Something useful for our members, like a discount or access to training, and a mention of us in return. Nobody sends anybody an invoice.
